Sarah Burkett, RDN, CLC (she/her)
Welcome! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist supporting adults and adolescents through individual nutrition counseling. I aim to empower my clients in implementing sustainable nutrition goals that decrease rigid, all-or-nothing thinking, and promote health, joy, and a positive relationship with food.
-
I offer collaborative nutrition counseling aimed at general health and wellness, disease prevention and management, or simply helping you feel your best.
Support includes assessment, practical goal setting, meal planning strategies, and more.
-
I provide essential nutrition guidance to birthing parents prior to conception, during pregnancy, and postpartum. My perinatal experience includes general nutrition, symptom management, gestational diabetes, PCOS, mood disorders, pregnancy after bariatric surgery, lactation, and postpartum recovery.
-
I provide nutrition support to manage ongoing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause while helping to form healthy habits with lifelong health benefits
-
I understand the role that nutrition has on our mental well-being and how thoughts and emotions impact our capacity to pursue positive change. I support those with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, perfectionism, impulsivity, and executive dysfunction seeking a realistic and sustainable approach to nutrition.
-
I am passionate about supporting individuals in the understanding and healing of their food and body relationship. I offer compassionate care for those with chronic dieting, binge eating, restriction, and other disordered eating behaviors, as well as those who simply feel stuck in the diet cycle, to rebuild trust in themselves and their food choices.
I am committed to inclusive and judgement-free care that empowers individuals to explore supportive nutrition goals. I practice from a weight-inclusive, Health at Every Size, and trauma informed lens. I treat all individuals with respect and kindness and I acknowledge the oppressive systems in place that have been detrimental to our collective relationship with food and nutrition, disproportionately impacting those with marginalized identities.
I believe that cultivating realistic strategies for nourishment and a positive relationship with food through compassionate nutrition counseling is a vital component of overall wellness.
